A window of opportunity.

Within the world of window treatments there lies a beautiful balance between functionality and flair that complement each other perfectly. In regards to functionality the main two purposes of any window treatment is to control the light and privacy within your home - but that doesn’t mean that those purposes have to be ugly!

Blinds, shades, curtains and awnings, when fitted correctly and with a design in mind enhance and transform the aesthetics of your home capturing sunlight in a warm embrace.

Allow me to show you how!

So, what’s hot?

Sky Track blinds are in high demand! These blinds complement roof lanterns and ceiling glass unlike any other whilst helping prevent heat loss in winter and keeping your home cool within summer! They can be solar powered, battery powered or run via mains electricity remotely - with no visible cables or wiring, a beauty to behold!

My 5 steps to getting it right!

  1. First off, find out the why! What is the priority and purpose of the project? What is it EXACTLY that the customer needs?

  2. Location, location, location! What are the practicalities that need to be considered? Is there a power source nearby? Are we thinking battery operated or via a solar trickle feed? Does it need to be wired in? What’s the ease of access and function?

  3. Choose the right product for the right place - It sounds simple but, based on the size and weight of the blinds, curtains or awnings required some products have limitations in their capabilities and function.

  4. Aesthetics! Confirm the colours and styles required and fulfill the customers brief.

  5. Demonstration! As soon as the installation is complete we'll spend time with you ensuring that you’re confident and understand perfectly how to operate what we’ve done for you. We’ll also let you know the best tips and tricks on how best to maintain your blinds to keep them in the best condition.

Sky Track Blinds

Sky Track blinds are specifically designed for Lantern Windows and other rectangular shaped ceiling windows. Made from a cellular fabric they help insulate and regulate room temperature as well as the lighting in your home.

Shutters

Shutter blinds, also known as plantation shutters feature hard wearing, horizontal slats (also known as louvres) that can be tilted to control light and privacy. Set and mounted within a frame, shutters ensure a structured and durable window covering. Typically they’re made with wood, faux wood and vinyl.

Roller Blinds

With an incredible range of colours, patterns and luxury fabrics available roller blinds offer an amazingly versatile option when considering your design scheme. Also, where some roller blinds are made with a waterproof PVC material they’re ideally suited for bathrooms and kitchens due to the humidity and condensation. Lastly, they can also be designed with a blackout fabric to ensure you get a good nights sleep!

Lantern Blinds

Also known as “Horizontal Blinds” Venetian blinds are a type of window covering composed of horizontal slats that can be tilted or raised and lowered to control light and privacy. These blinds are typically made of materials like wood, aluminum, or PVC.

Zip Blinds

Zip line blinds, also known as ZIP blinds, are a type of roller blind screen system that uses a zipper ribbon for smooth and quiet operation. Designed to be wind-resistant and noise-reducing, this makes them ideal for large spans of glazing, balconies and curtain walls.

Child Safe Blinds

Child Safe Blinds minimise the risks of injury to children by reducing the hazards associated with cords and chains. Typically they’ll feature cordless, wand operated and motorised options to operate. Some styles have a further safety feature that releases the chain in case of emergency - but these can be easily replaced.

Roman Blinds

Roman blinds are usually made from a soft fabric that folds into neat, pleated sections when raised. They offer a stylish and versatile alternative to traditional curtains and roller blinds whilst offering the same benefits.

Blind Screens

Blind Screens are designed to offer privacy, light control, ventilation and protection from insects, typically they come with a thermal blind as well for added insulation. You’ll typically look to utilise Blind Screens in a place where ventilation is more important such as within bedrooms.

Curtain Tracks

Curtain poles can be quite a feature in their own right but fitting them, particularly with windows with unusual angles like bay windows can be tricky - but it can be so worth it as they make a beautiful statement!
